Support FPC on Georgia Gives Day!

Freedom Park Conservancy is participating in Georgia Gives Day on November 27th – and we need YOUR help to make tangible improvements to Freedom Park!

Your support will help FPC:

– Hold eight volunteer work days in the park to remove invasive plants, mulch trees, and address erosion issues
– Work toward Audubon Society Certification of our Bird and Butterfly Garden
– Add at least two small native pollinator gardens
– Identify and preserve snags for woodpecker habitat

And more!

Help us raise $5,000 by midnight on November 27th!

Jane’s Walk – May 4-5, 2019

Jane’s Walk Atlanta

Celebrating Jane Jacobs and Atlanta

On May 4-5,  join citizen-led walking tours around Atlanta in celebration of urbanist Jane Jacobs.

On the first weekend of May every year, Jane’s Walk festivals take place in hundreds of cities around the world. In 2019, Freedom Park Conservancy is excited to host Atlanta’s first Janes Walk weekend.

Jane’s Walks encourage people to share stories about their neighborhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbors.
